The waves emu has 32 different models of each of the 3 different consol channels plus busses for each of the consols. The NLS is a little bit heavy on CPU use (not a major problem on my six core) but with the depth of the Modelling UAD is doing with it's most recent plugs you probably need two quads to run a virtual consol plus more for your other plugs which would make this a very expensive proposition I don't know how well this would work as a UAD plug though. I've been playing with NLS for the last few hoursĬoming off the UAD studer A800 and into the NLS does give a real sense of depth and space that is not there when the FX are bypassed That stinks because I really like the HLS, PIE plugin, Hybrid, and Linear Phase plugins. With them it should work right on every single platform, including Linux if I wanted to use it.

Especially with a company like Waves who has over 150 empolyees and their primary business is software. And I won't buy a plugin set from anyone unless it works properly in all platforms. I think it's the Waveshell Sonar does not like. I tried the Waves Mercury demo, but could never get it to work right on my rig. In the end, they get your money too, and it all works out the same way. I wonder if Waves users who paid full board are a bit bent out now that it's almost half off. I know it's on sale now for almost half price, but I've always seen it priced at $6300. Then the $200 a year to keep up with the WUP. I believe it is $249 if you need to buy it.They better give you WUP for free the first year after paying $6000 for that Mercury Bundle. Now that's how you look after your customers. (waves update plan and all that - which is also free for the first year)
